Prices

The price can vary from 10 cents to 15 cents per word, depending on my affinity with the type of text and its technical difficulty.

It is therefore advisable to send the text with a request for a quote so that I can judge the difficulty of the translation as well as its price.

To help you get an idea of the rates, you can consult the presentation made by the French association of translators (SFT).

Special case : Japanese

For a translation from Japanese, the character count dictates the price, not the word count.

For subtitles :

The price will depend on several factors. Firstly, the length of the video. Secondly, the level of customisation required. Then, the level of technical difficulty.

If you send me the original script for the video, it will save me a considerable amount of time and lower the price.

If you want to translate existing subtitles, all you have to do, is to send me the SRT file.
